Sales Executive, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority
John Meyer is a sales executive for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). The LVCVA is the destination marketing organization for Las Vegas and Southern Nevada, and its mission centers on attracting visitors by promoting it as the world’s most desirable destination for leisure and business travel. The LVCVA also owns and operates the Las Vegas Convention Center and Cashman Center.
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Mr. Meyer joined the LVCVA in 2000. In his role, he manages traditional travel agency accounts on the East Coast, the tour operator segment, the motor coach segment, wholesale, consortia and online travel agent accounts.
Mr. Meyer received a bachelor’s degree in hotel administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, the Board of Governors for American Bus Association (ABA) Foundation and the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA) Destination for Destination Steering Committee. Previously, he served on the Board of Directors for the National Tour Association (NTA), was chair of the National Tour Association Host City, and served on the American Bus Association Marketplace Advisory Committee.
